You are only kidding yourself if you think Monohan's value is of anything significant right now

I’m a bruins fan. I wish this was a possibility. It’s not. This is an F- return.

Funny you should say that because the Bruin's are in fact my least favorite team, but like I said, I just don't see Monohan having a lot of value right now

Well if its like 100% of the people in here who think DeBrusk best years are behind him at age 24, then I guess that puts Monahan in the same boat given his decrease in production etc.

That being said, like I have said with DeBrusk, there is more than meets the stat sheet. This deal likely isn't enough to get it done as Monahan is still a solid center - however the question will be more so if he wants to resign as next year is his last on his current contract and what are his salary/term demands. If the Flames think they are outlandish then perhaps they take what they can get for him or the best package offered (especially if he doesn't intend on staying past next year)

If he doesn’t have much value, why trade him?

I wasn't the person that posted the trade - and from a value perspective/comment which player are you referring to?

Well like I said, I wasnt the one who posted, I was simply remarking that people associate production decreases over a couple years as they player has died (aka many forums that include DeBrusk) my point as I mentioned was that I don't think this deal gets it done, but also highlighted we don't know what he wants from a contract term/salary or if he he wants to stay after next season which may force the flames hand to move him at some point this season or next.
