No thanks from LA. Roy has turned into a fantastic defenseman. If Miller was 3-4 years younger and had a few years remaining on his contract, then maybe. A 1st and Roy is too much for just over a year of Miller.

If we're in contention for a playoff spot near the trade deadline, we shouldn't be spending significant assets to assure a spot in the tourney because a rental won't get us much further. Our rebuild is progressing nicely and if we're knocking on the door, we should just rely on the youngsters that are getting us there. Such a trade would likely just put a sudden speed bump in our development; those are two key pieces for the future.
