Gibson's 6 year term works against him IMO, making his contract all the harder to sell. Would Lucic have more value if he had another 6 years left? LOL.
And I've never argued that Koskinen has more tenure than Gibson, only that his performance over the past 2 years has been every bit as good - which is factually correct - and that Gibson has not been performing up to his contract, nor to NHL average, since 2018 - which is factually correct. You stating that I'm citing irrelevant statistics is just willfully ignorant take on every single thing that I've written on the subject. You're clearly not an objective observer here. The statistics, however, are purely objective, which is why I look to them frequently to see what is going on.
Implying that Milan Lucic and John Gibson are analogous is just embarrassing.
Saying that Koskinen's performance (which is trending down) and Gibson's (which is trending up) are equivalent is manipulating the numbers by averaging. That's the sort of cherry-picking you do which I refer to as citing irrelevant statistics. If you want to average numbers out like that, Gibson's career stats would support the position that he's still elite, which you deny and which I am willing to concede has some merit.
Statistics are not objective when they're abused, or misapplied, or misunderstood.
