The Pens have FIVE lefty dmen signed. We can like these players all we want, but this trade makes little sense on a few levels for the Pens. Maybe if SEA takes Riikola back, but that becomes a lateral move.

Lauzon plays LD and RD. And Bastian is a big 6'6" player with grit.

I'm not a bruins fan, I'm a pens fan so I have no idea, but he is a good player either way.

He plays RD. He wouldnt be listen as LD/RD if he hasnt played RD before

I understand you like the player, but this is poor asset management.

If Seattle takes Friedman or Ruhwedel back, then it makes more sense.

I'd still like to know how effective Lauzon is on the right side. It's rare that dmen play their off-side as good or better than their natural side.

Plus, Riikola is IMO as good as Lauzon and brings a similar style even though he's a little smaller. Him sitting there doing nothing is a huge mistake on behalf of the Pens. He throws big hits, plays sound defensive hockey in all three zones, can skate with the puck and shoot.

Rikola is not my choice to make. Hextall and Burke havent said one thing about him since they've been here. Again, ask bruins fans, i got it from them
