Talks of any Eichel trade now are a moot point…unless BUF will take a real lowball offer (offer here is light year from that) any GM would be a fool to provide real value for a player about to have neck surgery…let the guy have his surgery, rehab, go through conditioning stint, then get back on the ice before any real assessment of value going toward BUF can be made

Sportsnet reporting still no agreement between Buffalo and Eichel. They met with his new representation and are re-engaging with interested teams.

Presuming that is true, it might suggest Buffalo has acknowledged the impasse and are lowering their ask, and it also might indicate that they are going to try to find a "deal they can live with" and if they do not, they will agree to the surgery.

Eichel doesn't have to agree to anything in this situation, so I can't see it going any other way. He'll get what he wants, it's just a matter of when.

Good info there…if that’s true, I’d put an offer something like Krav + 2022 1st + 2023 2nd (with conditions to be a 1st)…for sure BUF fans aren’t going to like this offer…but if BUF is successful in creating somewhat of a bidding war then I’d be ready to walk from the table…let someone else pay the bid up price…the risk is just too great.
