Hurricanes have 15 better prospects than Ponomarev and 3rd round picks don't move the needle much. Hurricanes are a good team so draft picks aren't real exciting, if canes want Greenway then offer a better prospect.

He's not leaving money on the table if literally no one is giving him $6.1m going forward. The Canes gave him that to get him over and then they'll sign him to a longer term deal at a reasonable cap hit.
