The Canucks should not trade Myers. And there is no way we are giving up a high pick to trade him for nothing. He is built for the playoffs. I don't see any reason that Myers is a negative asset, except that he and Hughes (when paired together as our best offensive Dmen) had a terrible +/- trying to chase games last season and getting scored on. Watch that turn around this year with our improved forward group, where we will score more and not have to chase games. Myers is an absolute beast on the PK (av 3.2 min/game SH, only gave up 16 goals and helped score 4 SH goals). OEL taking the reins on our 2nd PP unit will also help Myers to focus on his strengths (which is not the PP).
