I haven’t followed that saga closely. How much time would Eichel be out if he had the procedure he wants and how long if he does what the team wants?

I honestly don't think anyone knows how long the recovery time would be for Eichel if he gets the replacement he wants, but the expert who was on 31 Thoughts said possibly between six and twelve weeks - which would put him in the mix for the Olympics, but I doubt that he'll be able to get that procedure. My understanding is that the more traditional surgery that the team wants him to undergo can have a recovery time of up to six months or longer - though I am not a medical expert and that's only what I have read/heard on the subject.
