someone who is a regular top 9 nhl player. Mikheyev is that for the Leafs, Barabanov was a top 6 player for the Sharks last season and performed well and Gusev was very good thet year before this one

None of them have played 100 games and one hasn't even played 25 games. Gusev was released by an awful NJD team and still currently a FA. Barbonov got big minutes playing for bottom of the barrel franchise.

As a Rangers fan, I wouldn't waste a depth RD on Hajek and instead trade him at the deadline where teams might overpay for depth and give a decent pick

oh no I mean don't waste Lyubushkin on Hajek, Hajek is trash and wont be anything at the NHL level whereas Lyubushkin could have at least some value at the deadline

If you believe in analytics he has terrible analytics and if you don't he struggled to beat out Jack Johnson and Anthony Bitetto. He also was a scratch in the Czech League, its possible he could turn into something but I wouldn't spend more than a 5th round pick on him
