they decline, I agree, but Dube isnt a top 6 winger yet. He is a good middle 6er with upside. Despite how people claim compher is bad, is Dube is a top 6 winger, him and compher had almost identical production last season. What does that make compher?

Dube developed a lot this season unlike compher. Dube's at the end of the season was way better the Compher. Sure most of the season they were equal but I'm 90% sure Dube will be a top 6 winger for Calgary next year

yes. Its far off. Young wingers like that aren't coming cheap

time on ice is what dictates a top 6er, not line on a paper, I think we all can agree on that. And last season Dube was 8th in TOI for Calgary fwds (8th also in 5v5), even behind Lucic. Them adding Coleman, I cant see him stealing ice time from Coleman, Mangiapane, Gaudreau, Tkachuk for wingers. He will take the next step in his development for sure, but to say he will be a top 6er next season, either something really good happened to him or something really bad happened to that group of wingers

Compher looked the same when he was at Dube point in his career, his contract year he scores at pace with Dube and goes off in playoffs for some clutch goals against the Flames and sharks. Don’t get me wrong compher is not on level with Dube but to say he’s completely top six material and compher is liability is lack of Armchair GM’ing prowess on your part.

if you think that, you should probably just keep Compher

Hertl is not a defensive second line center. Hes a legit 1C who can score PPG if hes healthy and on a good team.

He’s great on pp and pk what I was meaning is he’s more defensive than Burakovsky so he’s got that two way game locked and on the avalanche he wouldn’t supplant mackinnon for 1C so yes he is our 2C with Kadri. Hypothetically what would compensation be for Hertl in your mind

COL's 1st is basically a 2nd so they'll be adding another prospect and it will be a top prospect or its not happening.

It's doubtful he's moved. Escpecially if Kane has his contract voided or bought out. If that happens Hertl is staying long-term no doubt. I live in Denver so if he is traded to the avs at least I'll get to see him lol.
