Description

A fair bit of chatter on this this site concerning Calgary acquiring Eichel in a 3-way trade involving the Bruins. In one of those posts ("davidgalli" on August 1, 2021), Calgary would send Monahan to the Bruins in exchange for a 4th round pick and would then send Connor Zary (2021 1st round), 2022 1st round.pick, 2023 1st round pick and 2022 2nd round pick to the Sabres for Eichel. Acquiring Monahan would fill the 2C spot; however it would not work capwise for the Bruins unless a trade were to occur. To accommodate this I have traded DeBrusk to Calgary in lieu of the 4th round pick and I also got rid of both Wagner and Moore. Calgary can then trade DeBrusk if they need further cap room to acquire Eichel. Additionally I would prefer Lindholm over Monahan as our 2C Krejci replacement. In any event - wishful thinking. PS - I would like to see Chara come back for his farewell tour. I think the Bruins owe him for his years of performance.

I read the description, but lindholm for debrusk? In what world??

Debrusk value is at an all time low and lindholm is a very good player on a great contract. Even Monahan for debrusk doesn’t make sense.

Whoever posted that has no clue on values then. Wouldn’t bother taking anything he or she said to heart.

Lindholm is probably untouchable but there's a way it works. I don't think Calgary is actually in on Eichel, but if the 3 way happens it would have to be:
