Description
It’s still not ideal on the left side. But baring a major deal this is likely the best it is going to get. I’m sure there will be variation and movement amongst the line combos, but I think the forward group is set as is. I worry that Ritchie doesn’t have the chops to play with the big boys speed wise, but I expect he gets a shot (and for that matter so does Bunting, I think the left side will see lots of movement until they find combos that work)

Flipped Marner back onto the Tavares wing, I think that he brings back 40 goal pace JT from 2 years ago, and Matthews is good enough that while he might not get 50, he still gets 40 with Nylander on his wing.

Not a pile of cap space to work with so the cheaper depth forwards will be important. Kept Engvall and buried him because he can give you solid replacement minutes in the even of the inevitable injury in your bottom 6. He is not the liability some make him out to be at all and for a guy that can give you 20 pts playing 3rd and 4th line minutes 1.25 mil isn’t all that bad.

Could see Dermott moving but I doubt it, he provides a good depth piece since he can play both sides, and he then slots in as your 3LD next year after Rielly walks and Sandin jumps up (which I’m sure is the plan provided he plays a full season and develops well as the regular 3LD this year) Gudbranson would fill the hole left by Bogosian leaving and would give Sandin a solid Partner to play with that would allow him the space to do what he does best. (Note that I would also look at Jason Demers for this role if he were to come at the same price as Gudbranson)

Détails additionnels:
Doesn’t have to be Seattle, I’m sure there is a team out there that would take a speedy winger that can give them good bottom 6 minutes. With only a late round throw away pick as the return.

While he doesn’t fit some people idea of what an NHL player is in the league today (because his advanced stats are not at shining star level) he still provides a presence and edge that will hit and block shots. Sure he isn’t the best defenceman out there, but when you are a cap strapped team with specific needs you take what you can get and hope that with a few less minutes against (primarily) 3rd and 4th lines, he can give you a decent year so you can upgrade at 2RD next year and put Holl down a peg where he belongs.

He gets destroyed by nhl players on the regular, hes just bad at hockey. He was the worst defender on one of the worst teams in the league.
Vet presence is usless if you are bad. He cant even defend 3rd and 4th lines hes so bad
