generational talent whose team does not have a lot of leverage in a trade. you go for it. the current habs roster will not make the playoffs in the atlantic. but an eichel - suzuki punch gives them a top 5 center punch in the league who has an age advantage over other teams too like the leafs, bolts, canes, panthers, etc.
I don't know about that statement bud... yes they lost danault... but their depth is insane. We have six 20+ goal scorer on the team, our rookies are a year older and they are getting better. We have our OT specialist
in Caufield (we lost 11 in OT last year). We used to depend on Gally and Tatar's production... then it would fall down a cliff.
we lost Weber... but apart from the playoffs, his regular season performance can easily be matched by Savard.
We now have a PP specialist in Hoffman. A big problem for us in the last few years where it was totally impotent.
Teams like Boston have regressed... I think have a definite chance to make the playoffs over OTT, BOS, DET, BUF and a good chance to challenge TOR, FLA and even TBL (who lost there entire third line)...
