The general idea here is that it may ADMITTEDLY be weaker next year.

However so, in my mind the Leafs are in the midst of a mini rebuild within the Rebuild.

Detroit has gotten Stronger however still need their young Stars to SHINE if they want to compete for a potential WILD CARD SPOT N FOR DA LIVE OF GOD FIRE THE COACH!

Ottawa... Is an enigma. They could be a SURPRISE team that makes the ENTIRE LEAGUE go, WHERE DID THIS COME FROM!? Or just get another top pick in the draft.

I tried to target more Truckulant N gritty heart N soul type players. Who are also good people on and off the ice. Good and reliable team mates than can come in there add some structure up and down the Leafs lineup and also contribute both offensively and defensively.

The Focus with Matthews and Marner is to just continue to work on their 2~Way forechecking and backchecking, limiting offensive entries into *Defensive zone and being more if like, Uh...Physical presence on the Ice.

I see Matthews becoming a Brett Hull×Sundin×Peter Foresberg type players.

Marner is more like Datsyuk×Tie Domi×Doug Gilmore

When he reaches his full potential.

Tavares I feel would benefit in his game at his age and stage of his career with a grittier and tough LW in Sansford.

Palmieri is a great hockey player still, complements our Style of play very well, went fat with Lou's Islanders in the playoffs. A lil bit gritty as well but a real heart and soul player.
The type of player all 32 teams in the League would LOVE on their Team.

Neal Athanasiuo and Sheahan I feel complete the Leafs bottom 6. Well.

Made some bold moves along the way, I did my best as a ACGM to give the other team adequate value and an advantage in trading with The Maple Leafs.

The days of overpaying premium assets for less than PREMIUM players and overpaying players in free agency is OVER!
