I really like those first two lines. Tatar would be an incredible fit with Matthew and Marner and Kerfoot showed great chemistry with Nylander in the playoffs and is probably more suited to the wing. The rest of the forwards though… very underwhelming. Maybe it won’t matter if you’re limiting those two lines to 10 minutes or less a night.

Bunting is better than you think, Wayne will play better cause he knows he has two years and fans in the stands, Kampf is just a good defensive forward, mikheyev and kiril are Russian friends, Spezza is great, those bottom two lines look very responsible atm. The goalie pair is great and the defense is just as reliable as last year.

I hope you’re right but you really should lower your expectations. Everyone on that bottom six has question marks whether it be age, coming off a bad season, what a guy really looks like when he isn’t shooting an ungodly 26%, etc.

If galchenyuck looked good with JT and willy, I doubt bunting wouldn't look better.
