Description
This trade is based off the report that BUF was asking VGK for Krebs+Hague+Smith+1st.

I understand that other teams can beat out the Caps offer but sounds like none want to. Seems like the only teams still in on Eichel are MIN, NYR, and ANA (assuming VGK and MTL spent money in UFA and don't have room anymore). MIN only has $20M in space with Kaprisov and Fiala to still sign, then a couple other players. Then NYR and ANA sounds like they don't want to give up a lot for Eichel. So assume everyone is backing out and Caps willing to match VGK offer it could work.

Doubtful but still possible.

That's just as good if not better than VGKs offer. So if no one ups their offer I can see BUF doing it.

What Vegas offer? There’s no official offer. Just speculation as to what it could be. Also, if Vegas made an offer and Buffalo supposedly turned it down, what makes you think they’d turn around and accept a “similar” offer from Washington? Also, I’d rather have krebs over anyone in this offer.

It's not that BUF turned it down, VGK turned it down. BUF asked for that package and VGK said no. So if Caps offer the same package why would BUF say no? They wouldn't. But like you said, who knows if it was, it was just a reporter that said it. Maybe it isn't true.

Honestly, I don’t think it is. Buffalo isn’t approaching teams with a trade. They’re fielding calls and the ask is supposedly 4 first rd equivalents. It could true that they made an offer to Vegas, but seems unlikely. It’s backwards from everything being reported.

Haha. Ppl won’t always agree with you in life. It’s okay. No need to have a hissy fit.

Why would the Sabres want a player with a shady past around their younger players? They also are clearly going young. And as reported, the Sabres have set their price and haven’t budged. These are legitimate reports. Not speculation.

Also, get that “shady past” narrative out of here lmao. He did coke. Get over it. Half the league does it. He’s an adult, and everyone in the Sabres organization is an adult. Everybody can make their own decisions. They’re not children.
