Eh I disagree. Grizz has better stats and costs less, so adding DeBrusk (or another prospect like Beecher/Studnicka) and a 1st rounder would probably get it done.

Was Dan Vladar really worth a 3rd round pick? No. But Calgary did it anyway. Its impossible for us to know what exactly they'd want in return. Just a reasonable guess.

And Hanifin has been on the trade block before and is coming off of surgery. Its not like Calgary are wedded to the guy. Just needs the right offer.

Grizz is definitely not better than Hanifin, Debrusk is not needed at all, he's literally 7th on our LW depth chart. Hanifin hasnt been on the trade block at all, no idea where you are hearing that from.

I definitely think that gets it done for Hannifin. Quite a bit of an overpay honestly. JD has 27G ceiling, Grzelyk is one of the best skaters and puck movers in the league. Adding a first is overkill, and if it was actually included, Calgary is doing cartwheels. You’d almost see that type of package including Johnny Hockey in the package.
