That's the problem right there....they are short skaters every night here. If they do make the deal, they will be right up against the cap, and goaltending will be a major issue. They'll have to sign someone for around a million realistically, or trade for a cheap backup.

It's actually a pretty fair trade. Buffalo technically gets their ask or four firsts or two top prospects and two roster players and or a first.....Krebs is an A prospect, and Nic Hague is a solid prospect with top four defense prospect upside, Reilly Smith is a very underrated forward and a really good two way forward who helps Buffalo get to the cap floor, and helps play on a line with one of their young centers to help with development and probably gets flipped at the deadline. I think what the hold up is will be Vegas re-signing Alec Martinez and then figuring out if the first is 2022 or 2023 and conditional?
