I agree, and it’s also the reason that a deal hasn’t been made yet. If KA was willing to do this, probably would have already been done. Game of chicken, and don’t think either blinks at this point.

Reason it has not been done is because the pegulas arent willing to take any money back. Believe me Jack is the best player we have had in years and if he did not want out I would not take that trade for him.

He does want out, so that’s a moot point. I highly doubt they won’t take a Rask like contract back in an Eichel deal. That’s worse then the ROR situation all over again

I dont think you understand my argument. I would happily take on the cap as at this point we wont hit the cap floor. It comes down to ownership to pay for the cap dumps in order to get the best return you can. Sure he wants out but then he was the one who signed the 8 year deal. relationships can be mended

Of course they can, but seems unlikely. There will be other ways to get to the cap floor, but taking a dump from a team has to be done most likely
