Lindholm would be a great pickup but it’s not really building around Jones unless you’re sure of an extension with Lindholm, which I doubt you could even afford after the Jones deal. You would have to extend Dach and Kubalik in the same off-season. Armia and Zadorov deals definitely couldn’t happen and you likely lose Murphy too. Seems like a bad spot for CHI to put themselves in.

That’s honestly a decent way to put it.

Wow Stan Bowman finally made a big move to push his bubble team into the playoffs and the fans go nuts. Idgaf, Patrick Kane is the goat American hockey player, rather see him in the playoffs trying to make a final run at it and dragging the young kids into real playoff hockey. This team is more setup for playoff hockey now without the “puck moving” kids. Boqvist is at best an Erik Gustaffson not an EK65. Only thing hawks fans should be mad about is the 9.5, and the 2022 1st rounder. But hey at least he kept debrincat and dach. Wah wah wah hawks fans your team is better on paper now. Let it play out then complain.

Dude, first off, shut the hell up and stop telling fans to stop crying. They’re as entitled to their opinions as you are.

Secondly, given the king’s ransom and extension in place, hawks fans have a right to complain. That contract is a pure anchor if he is anything less than Norris caliber. Also, hawks fans are pissed that the promise of faith in the youth has already been broken!!! I couldn’t give a **** if this team makes the playoffs if they’re just gonna get curb stomped by far superior teams. They’re not contenders and realistically they won’t be prime playoff contenders without a goalie. They are better on paper, but there are still sooooooo many holes in this team. That’s just my opinion. Respect or don’t, I respect yours.

Saying Boqvist is “at best an Erik Gustafsson” is just straight up copium and kinda sad to see you post. He’s analytically compared to Karlsson and Ellis in their rookie years. It was an awful trade and an awful contract that further handcuffs Hawks chances going forward.

Watch Boqvist have a very similar career to Gus. Patrick Kane makes any dman look good especially on the powerplay. And let’s not get confused Boqvist was not “quarterbacking” that unit. Yeah one more year would be nice but Kane and Toews can’t keep “one more year’ing” the rest of their careers. Stan Bowman is swinging for the fences. He overpaid for Jones because he had too. This team makes the playoffs more than the old roster and maybe saves Bowmans job. Maybe Jones actually elevates this team as a whole. Since Keith fizzled out it’s been the teams number one need. So hey at least it’s addressed. I don’t like TWO 1st rounders. And Seth gonna get overpaid just like JVR and so man other UFAs before him.

And bruh you need to chill out. You’re getting mad at a cap friendly post. That being said yeah it’s an overpayment by a desperate GM. He’s trying to continue the sellout streak at UC cuz that’s the money. So thank business and know that keeping the youth doesn’t make dollars. And if it don’t make dollars it don’t make sense. #bigstanmarketproblems
