Where did you hear that the cap can get as high as 100M??

Nils Lundkvist is already confirmed for 21-22 and is a very very very promising young talent. Lauzon would be better suited in this case as a LD instead of Zac Jones. There's really not a weak link on the Rangers blue line, and Lauzon doesn't really have a place.

Heard it in an interview(can’t remember the name) but it’s due to all the new tv deals, advertising, etc. It might be 3-4 years away but that’s a massive jump and it’s why guys like Kaprizov won’t sign long term. He wants his 8-9M for 3-4 years so that when the cap jumps he can get 12-14M

He's not wrong I was listening to the same interview but 100M was the very optimistic number they said realistically it should be 95-97 in four years from now

Nils and Zac Jones may be a good pair in a year or 2 but 2 rookies for 3rd pair? Drury is looking for a LD with a few years under his belt. I even wouldn't mind Ryan Suter for around $2m a year for 1 or 2 years until the kids are more prepared.
