Leafs are in no way shape or form pushing for a playoff spot. No need for Ott or Hertl. I see a lot of Severson support on here, and while it wouldn't hurt to add a young right shot defenseman, I can't imagine NJ trading another one away after the Larsson deal.

The Leafs changes of making the playoffs were getting slim with their current play. If Marner is out, almost zero change. Time to bring up someone from the Marlies and see they how they do.

-24 on that team with that goalie? Is Severson the next Gelinas? That's a big price to pay for Severson and Hertl. And by big I mean huge.

Offering way too much for Severson who is an average top 4 D. No way Leafs trade away two of their best young defensemen before they see what they can accomplish.

Geesh i get that people dont like the Leafs, but really no chance of playoffs? They are 7 points out of first in the atlanctic with games at hand on everyone except Ottawa. Pass the salt once in while. Also they have a relatively mild schedule down the strech here, with 13 of their last 26 games against teams at or near the bottom.
