If Carrier didn't have THREE seasons remaining on his contract MAYBE Ottawa would do this but even then, he doesn't steal a spot from Tkachuk, Stutzle, Paul, or Formenton, and upgrading from a 6th to a 5th isn't really something OTT needs to jump on. Doubt they accept.

I mean I’m all for him trying to succeed there. We saw the flashes as a rookie and he’s hit the wall since then. Fresh start, between Stone and Patches….even glass looked decent in that situation, he just didn’t drive enough offense.

interesting thought on reaves taking over mckennas job, that news blind sided everyone but i wouldnt mind it if this were the case. always thought he'd be fit as a personality on commentary when he retires. plus with his brewery in vegas he's pretty much a staple to the city, everyone here loves him
