DeBrusk/Kane trade: I really like the idea of adding Evander Kane. I feel like he isnt really liked all that well. But the guy can play. Personally I'd love to see him skate alongside Hall and Krejci. Adding that physical grit player who has a natural scoring touch to Krejci's game again could be lethal. Idk what it takes to get it done with the retention but I think its something the Bruins should explore this offseason.
Coleman (LW): Always wanted to see him in black and gold. Hope it happens. Stanley Cup finals experience (2 rings)
Nosek (C): Personally I'd give Kuraly one more kick at the can for the right price, and it could be there. If not Nosek seems like a good replacement option. Stanley Cup finals experience.
Oleksiak (LD) + Bogosian (RD): Both players add much needed grit and size on the back end. Both have cup experience (Bogosian 1 ring).
Martinez (LD): Another skilled defenseman who has a good veteran presence. Creates better scoring depth on the back end. Stanley Cup finals experience (two rings).
Tuukka (G): Yeah idk about this one. Personally I think whatever his 82 game salary request is, half of that would represent his extension this offseason due to likely missing half the season. I think 5-6 is a reasonable ask from Rask for a full season. Just went under half of that to fit cap with out doing math to maximize that deal once he's able to be activated off LTIR.
Krejci (C): Straight forward, think its what he deserves.
Other UFA ideas: Brandon Saad (RW), Danny Savard (RD), Cedric Paquette (C), Jordan Martinook (C), Kyle Palmieri (RW), Adam Gaudette (C)
LONG TERM OUTLOOK
2022-23 Cap Space: $22,162,500 (Cap space remaining)
UFA: Bergy 2 yr x $6M ($16,162,500)
Lazar 2 yr x $1.5M ($14,662,500)
RFA: McAvoy 8 yr x $9M ($5,662,500)
Kuhlman 2 yr x $1M ($4,662,500)
Zboril 1 tr x $900K ($3,762,500)
Studnicks 2 yr x $975K ($2,787,500)
$2,787,500 to find a Krejci replacement, Studnicka could be promoted to C2 or C3 (if Coyle gets nod for C2). Its definitely a tight squeeze there but its doable. Krejci could also be an option if he wants to stick around on short money as well. McAvoy could take a home town discount, Bergy could also do the same. Tough to look at the long term with so many variables. The main point is the Bruins can spend money this off season and still be able to keep the main core intact in the mid to long term.
Why? It's a huge over payment for the cancer know as Evander.
No it isn't. He's a lock for 30 goals, 50 points. That's going to cost you and this, 3 bozo's for a 30 goal standout power forward is not even close my friend. ANd if you want that much retention, a 1st and a top prospect will need to be coming back but Boston has nothing SJ wants so it's a no-go no matter what.

If he’s such a cancer, it’s weird that you’re trading for him no? Don’t like him, don’t make ****ty offers for him. Simple as that.
Kane was a point per game player last year. The return is Debrusk who has regressed massively, Wagner who’s an overpaid 4th liner, and Vaakanainen who’s an okay prospect, but has been injury riddled and is still unproven. Plus, on top of all that you want us to retain $10 million over the next four years on a fair contract.
And you call that an “overpayment”? Yeah give me a break, what a joke. Easiest decline of all time.

Lock is bit of a stretch since he's managed to do it only twice in his career, although he would've probably done it this year too.
Imo the value is pretty meh, but SJ won't be retaining so that'll ruin the trade effectively.
They won't be garnering a 1st plus top prospect for him with his reputation though. This year is a huge statistical outlier for him compared to his past and it's fairly unlikely to see him repeat this.

Since he's been a shark he's been a 30 goal scorer over and 82 games season. this past season he was on pace for 34, the season before 32 and his first year with the sharks he had 29 goals in 78 games. Hard to doubt that he is one of the premier power forwards, not to mention he really cleaned up his penalty taking game last year. And he's improved defensively since he arrived. He's pretty damn good and despite allegedly being a LoCkeR RoOm CaNceR he deserves the 7 mil and will get a sizeable return.

I can see the point you're making, but I'm just going to say that if you expect a grand return from Doug Wilson, I'd probably tone down my hopes a notch.
There are not many teams able to take in a $7M contract during the tight cap era. And there are even less teams willing to take Evander Kane in with that cap hit.

Would adding a 1st here move the needle at all? Or do you think that there just isnt a deal that could get done here? Not that I'd pay ransom for Kane but to get him at this number I'd definitely give up a solid chunk. Bruins fans were scared of Hall's "baggage" before he got here, they seem eager to hopefully resign him. The same would happen with Kane. He fits what the Bruins want. What Krejci's been missing. DeBrusk is a solid player, he's going thru a rough patch but he will turn it around. I just cant see a guy who played well his first two and a half pro seasons become a borderline healthy scratch in the blink of an eye. Adding a solid prospect and a 1st or 2nd round pick for taking slightly more risk on a younger player seems like a sweet deal for SJS who are sort of rebuilding on the fly? I know you guys have a lot of talent on that roster but I dont really know what you guys are up to over there. Idk maybe it isnt a great fit for a trade between us two but I'd be willing to at least try and find a way if I was Don Sweeney

Boston is not a good trade partner for Kane. You don't have what we need to replace Kane.
