Wont Bother putting assets in this trade as Detroit overvalues him and we undervalue him.

My personal opinion the trade will be Holl, Hirovien and 2022 1st. More than fair value as they get a b-tier prospect, a roster player and a 1st for player that played 9 games last season.

Honestly if this is the best that can be had, then the Red Wings are better off signing him to a 1 year deal and moving him at the deadline after he proves he is healthy, and if he is not then you offer him a short term contract in Jan and hope for the best. And I am not saying that your trade is bad, but its not what the Wings have stated that they want.

Detroit does not have to trade Bertuzzi.

Bertuzzi have not asked for a trade.

Detroit have not put Bertuzzi on the block.

This is you trying to trade for a player Detroit doesn't want to lose.

I understand why y’all love Bertuzzi but you can’t command the same return as a Mantha. Bertuzzi wasnt on pace for 30 goals the previous 2 season and this season he was but 9 games isn’t a large sample size.

When team part with an A-tier prospect is for a top tier players. For eg. Erik Branstrom was a apart of the Mark Stone trade, Nick Suzuki for Max Patchiertty, and etc. At the time Mark Stone and Max we’re leagues better than Bertuzzi is now and wasn’t coming off injury.

I think Holl, Hiroven and 2022 1st is fair value and I don’t think teams would pay more than that. MTL won’t part with Guhle or Norlinder, LA won’t part with any of their top tier prospects and same with any other team.

Imo you run the risk of having Bertuzzi sustain another injury and/or have a down season if you don’t trade him now when his value is probably gonna be just below it’s peak.
