Why would the Leafs give up a good young defenseman for a guy whose best days are behind him? Find a better trading partner lmao, Leafs aren't saving Tampa from cap trouble by giving up assets.

Gee, for 900,000, the Tampa should keep Maroon.
You're hoping that Seattle wants 6.25m X 6 McDonagh. That's kinda iffy. Certainly an exposed Gourde might be taken.
As a Leaf fan, I like the Killorn deal. Think Montreal born Killorn could be a Hab. They have cap and spot for him.

You guys are still over the cap. And it.would be nice to lure rinne out of retirement for league min.

McDermott is not good😂 buddy guy didn’t even get played the full regular season and made what 1 playoff appearance he is very overrated. The fact he couldn’t start on Toronto’s lack lustre defence means something

Expansion: If Tampa goes the 7 FWD, 3 D route and protects Cernak over McDonagh, then who else would Seattle pick? Maybe i'm seeing it wrong, but he's the only guy I think they would pick to play right away for them - worst case we can say Tampa tosses in a 2021 3rd for them to take McDonagh, then it's a done deal.

Only over the cap considering the guys i put as scratched. I only put them there because I think they have chances to make the lineup, take them out and your under.

Seattle is selected 30 players and can still sign UFAs. They aren't selecting the best player available from each team....that would put them at a 150m cap. A 3rd round pick, or. even a 1st rounder from doesn't mean that much. Now if Seattle thinks McDonagh is good value at 6.25m X 6 they will take him. But even you left him unprotected because you doubt his long term value.
Seattle is going select many fringe NHLer that they can bury in AHL without cap implications.

Saying Toronto's defense is lack luster is the most facebook boomer of cold takes. Honestly embarrassing that you think that's a sane comment to make.
