1) Will GM has made it clear he's not doing a 3 years deal with kaprizov

2) at best nolan's Patrick value is 3rd, or 4th round pick, why are you giving one of Wild's top c prospect, and 3rd round pick?

3) With all due respect, wild have zero needs for Phil Kessel, his contract, and his cap hold. Keeping Parise is better

So with all due respect,,every proposal is bad for wild, and from that perspective would be a no

First point I hope he can get more than 3 years. This contract is practically a worse case scenario.

Second point no argument.

Third point I have to disagree. Kessel only having one year left, can still score, and brings another right hand shot to a lineup (more importantly PP) that could use more. Just for the fact that we get out of 3 years of Parise's cap hit is a win in my book. However in Russo's article on the Athletic today he did come out and say we would still be on the hook for recapture penalties even with a buy out so maybe Parise will stay.

From the 3rd point, my perspective is wild have like a zillion Wingers, and by trading for Kessel, you are preventing Matt boldy from having any chance at playing unless it's injury.

Kessel has already declined a trade to Minnesota once. I don't think he has changed his mind.

I will agree with that. Boldy should make the team out of camp with how he has been playing in college/AHL.

He turned it down thinking we wouldnt be a contender. With the emergence of Kaprizov and Fiala it could change his mind. But correct he might still turn it down.

I mean a B center prospect and a 3rd is probably one of the higher valued offers I have seen on here in awhile. Many people think that this is an overpay for someone who put up 9 pts in 52 games and was a -30 last season. If you dont want to consider last season the previous 2 seasons he had 61 pts in 145 games. Thats without adding the fact that he has been injured a lot in his young career. I am willing to pay the offer I have in this case because he was a high draft pick, big, and is a skilled center that might just need a change of scenery. But he has shown nothing that makes this an underpayment.

Tell me why the Flyers would move him for this offer? Are They gonna punt on a 2nd overall pick for this package? Migraines also aren’t an injury but that’s a side point.

As far as his stats this past season, what do you expect for a guy who was out for basically two seasons. He looked slow and out of shape. He didn’t his first two years and he flashed for stretches and disappeared for others. Pretty common for developing players. I mean There’s 2 big centers on the team who took 5 years to develop offensively, one of which started in his teens on the Flyers on the roster alone.

You don’t punt on his draft pedigree for mediocre prospects and mid round picks, and frankly, there are teams that would value the risk that he figures it out way higher than this.
