Explain why they wouldn't decline then idiot

You can't just say they decline without giving a valid reasoning

Sure I can but, just for you, no problem.

NJ would likely do this trade for just the 2nd round pick. Adding a RHD that plays a lot of minutes is just a bonus.

There is nothing wrong with liking you players. When you start to overvalue them, it clouds the reality of the situation.

I'm pretty sure that if a deal like this ever presented itself, the Devils would be all over it. They understand how the game works on a micro level. Most fans don't.

This is rich from a TOR fan.

Anyway...I see you this post has Kerfoot gone to Seattle for nothing. Do you there there could be an A Nylander for Kerfoot+ trade? A Nylander to expansion exempt.

Price for Wood was a 1st and a prospect at the deadline. Deal would have to be around that. Devs don’t want to trade Wood

Yeah.... And there is a reason that they didn't get that asking price! Deadline prices are ALWAYS high.

Miles Wood is NOT worth a 1st round pick and a prospect. Not in any world.

That being said, he is a useful player and I see no reason for NJ to trade him just for the sake of trying him.

Pretty ironic coming from a Leaf fan

Idk why you think the Devils would sell low on Wood. Wood is extremely important to the Devils so it would take an overpay to get him

You are right he may not be worth a 1st but his value is better than Holl and a 2nd. He’s a RFA after this deal. Tough, fast, and some scoring touch. Just because his value to you isn’t a 1st doesn’t not mean his value to the Devils isn’t a first. Sometimes you overvalue pieces that you can’t readily replace. And this isn’t about understanding hockey on a micro level it’s basic team building across all disciplines

If a team was willing to pay that price, he'd of already been traded.

Bottom line, not worth it.
