MTL OFFSEASON

Créé par: Zekelio
Équipe: 2021-22 Canadiens de Montréal
Date de création initiale: 12 juill. 2021
Publié: 12 juill. 2021
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
This team would be incredible.

4 M cap space for next summer ( Suzuki - Romanov - Other )

Powerfull Top 9 + a good 4th line.

Jamie to replace the Chiarot lost ( big mobile Dman - Good for the ducharme System. )

Ramus for Weber ( He is more mobile than Weber and still can have a good upside offensively for the power play maybe ) You could replace him by an other Right handed Offensive Dman.

4 good depth player.

I am open to critique about any move. I kown its a lot, but this is just my vision for the Montreal Canadien and what i think would be good for them.

All trade are not excat, I am not an expert so this are just what i think would be fair and right.

Thank you and have a good day

I think you are giving way too much for Bertuzzi. I wouldn't do it.

I don't think they will go after Bertuzzi. If they put a package like that together it will be to go get a top tier PMD around 20-25

That’s way too much for Bertuzzi. That’s a package for an elite player. A solid currently top 9 in Poehling, a potential top 2 and top 4 dman is way too much for a good top 9 winger

Detroit will decline that offer.

Detroit already have 9 LD prospects whereof 6 picked in the first 3 rounds.

You will have to offer some other pieces to get our interest.

Right considering only Poehling has any NHL experience and both Norlinder and Struble have 0 and the 1st and 2nd are extremely late for arguably our 2nd best player after Larkin. That's nowhere near enough we want better pieces then this and Montreal doesn't have it. Yzerman would at least want Kotkaniemi coming back not these pieces.

Wrong to be moved within the division that's the normal asking price. Outside of Poehling it's futures Detroit needs NHL player ready pieces now not a bunch of players that are still years away from playing.

So an spare part and two prospects for a proven top 6 forward? Norlinder is already 21 and hasn't played a single game in North America... that's teetering on being in bust territory.

You clearly have no background on Norlinder if you think he is teetering on bust territory, he has moved his way up the team depth chart every year and should start seeing time in the nhl next season. Also most dman dont crack the roster till their early 20's regardless, especially if they arent a top pick. Theres no way mtl would give that much up for a middle 6 winger. Just all around makes no sense for either team.

LOL... "moved his way up the team depth chart every year" Yeah, yeah, yeah I got stock tips for you too. Outside of the top ten, draft picks and prospects have always been a crapshoot. I love reading the "Top NHL draft busts of the x" stories on the internet.

ya for sure you are right if a player isnt dressing a year after being draft he's a bust? thats some solid logic. guess we shouldve dealt caufield away for peanuts too since he took two years to see action?
Its irrelevant either way cuz neither team is looking to make that deal regardless.

You're not very accurate at all
Poehling was top AHL Center on a top AHL Team for the past 2 years
We wouldnt give him up anyways as he's built like Colton Sisssons and an ideal 4th line bruiser.

Norlinder is playing in the SHL a top Mens League and his rookie year for his 21st birthday put up 5 points in 7 games in the playoffs Leading his Team
If you dont see value in that , you're foolish Fan not someone who understands Hockey and Development.

Struble is a true long shot but is a 2 sport competitor and pure athlete with a big body.
Think a more compact Shea Weber as he is smaller in Height but Manhadles opponents just the same regardless of their size.
Struble being more Compact has its upside as he's also more mobile.

His Comparable as they were both project players drafted in the mid round who played multiple sports with success and are known for the Leadership and Physicality.
He's not someone you trade as his value is non existent until he makes good on his development and once he does no team is usually willing to part ways with them.

This was a horrible package that didnt address DET Needs
But dont ever make the mistake of letting your Ignorance blind you to Value
As i know your GM Stevie Y will not as he showed in TBL building a championship team out of investments you would have written off out of ignorance.

Bertuzzi
For
Ylonen(Early Second round pick 4th in that round)
Lehkonen(keep him as a PK leader or Flip his RFA rights as Seattle will be interested if no one else)
1st round pick
2nd round pick-Conditional that if MTL makes ECF with Bertuzzi playing 50% or more this pick becomes a 1st )

DET gets a RW Prospect to play with Zadina and Raymond down their right side long term.
Ylonen and Raymond will likely play in the AHL another year as they're still young Goal Scorers who benefit from more ice time.
But both could realistically play in the NHL in the bottom 6 .

He'll likely be a strong 2 way depth goal scorer like his father was in the NHL
That said i seen Jesse play and he's a hell of a lot more Physical and scores in the hard area's near the net.(his dad shot from the point and slot with distance)

The 1st and a conditional 2nd is DET main motivation though
This gives them a great return for a middle 6 LW
Its a better return then Mantha got

Good luck with those guys. Maybe they can stop the Habs from getting swept next time.

Swept ? Lol we went to the final , yes lost in 5 against a PACK tampa bay teamp, but still won against toronto - swept the jets and vegas in 6 ... We have a excellent propesct and some good veterant + a lot of pick over the next 2 draft. I think were doing pretty alritgh XD

I like your plan to put oleksiak with risto, i've been thinking that'd be a good idea for the sabres for a bit now. I do think you'll miss Weber tho. Its a lot if cap but i think your gonna notice the difference of a team without him.

I stand corrected. Montreal won game 4, I forgot. The series was over so fast it felt like a sweep. I don’t profess to know all either. I’ve seen a lot of “great prospects” fizzle in 40 years of watching hockey and am more of “bird in the hand” than a “two in the bush” person.

The Habs are a great team and I fully expect them to be right back at it next year... as long as there isn’t a hasty roster redo in a Montreal.

Can’t just make up an injury and if he retires we still get the cap penalty but with the preds close to a rebuild that penalty is less scary and won’t give up an asset to avoid it
