I actually think the money on Landy and Gru is pretty close in a flat cap environment to stay on a winning team. The Avs might have to pay for the 8th year to get Landy at $7M and they'd be foolish not to do so but it's something they can live with for a team that really wants to win a Cup or two before things get really crazy. I do think they'd have to give Gru another year or two to get him at that price but he was not good in the playoffs at times. He wasn't the reason the didn't advance but he had some softies.

For Grubauer to accept $5,500,000 you'd need more term probably in the 5-6 year range. For 8 years $7,000,000 Landy might accept it.
