As MTL GM I might do this trade, but a trade between MTL and TOR would never happen in a 1000 years. smile

AS IF!!!! Kerfoot sucks, Engvall is a 4th liner and a 2nd and 6th in a weak draft doesn't even come close!

Let's just go Byron for Matthew's, Marner and Rielly all half retained seeing as we are being stupid!

This trade is dumb and will never happen, but u cant just say the 1 valuable piece in the trade sucks, its obvious that u know that Kerfoot is good but u dont want to make it look like Toronto is sending anything good.

Kerfoot is NOT good, he is a 4th liner at best. Evans is better than Kerfoot.

Edit** IF Kerfoot is so good why is almost every ACGM from Leafs fans trying to trade him for a 4th???

Leafs are probably gonna lose him in the expansion draft and he’s a lot better than a 4th liner. MTL should target a guy like him because he’s able to play wing and centre and can slot into their top 6.
Kerfoot-Suzuki-Caufield
Toffoli-Danault-Gallagher is a pretty good top 6

I counter with Auston Matthews for the rights to Eric Staal, Erik Gustafsson, and Jon Merrill.

Anderson-Suzuki-Caufield
Toffoli-Kotkaniemi-Yelonen is better then follow that up with
Lehkonen-Danault-Gallagher
Byron-Evans-Armia

Kerfoot is not getting in the lineup anywhere

Kerfoot is a good teamplayer with a lot of skill and potential which he should be able to exploit in a top 6 position. With a faster transition playing team he would be an enrichment.
His position in the Toronto lineup was unresolved that limited his opportunities and numbers.
If he is able to improve his faceoff percentage I would like to see him as a second line center somewhere.
Even if the Leafs love verstitil players like Kerfoot the 3.5 M might be spend on more urgent necessities especially with the tight and flat Cap.
He can play as a bottom six forward as well but he is definitely not a 4th line player: that‘s ridiculous and insulting.
I am glad if he stays in Toronto.

I suggested that trade because of the latest situation. Kotkaniemi needs support and not a scratch IMO. Like Toronto embraced Galch this season.

Btw: the 2nd pick is a 2022 - so should not be weak anyway.

You compare KK to 34? Funny. He could easily become the next Galchenyuk with no self confidence - especially after being scratched for the last 2 Cup Final Games. Nonsensical comparison.

Trading 2 lately scratches and Staal who should have been scratched instead of Kotkaniemi is mockery and totaly disproportionate compared to the Kerfoot Deal.
