Thanks for putting this trade together for us to comment on:

GM Adams is looking for futures based on his statements that include 4 or 5 First round talent.... based on recent information it appears he has lowered that number of 5 prospects to ?????

In reviewing the trade I will assume that GM Adams is looking for 3 Top Pieces (1st Round Picks or talent) plus a prospect with potential.... If GM Adams has to take back a bad contract in the deal then the price will move up:

1. Kokaniemi checks all the boxes
2. Struble does not fit the first round talent and he also plays a position that GM Adams has a plethora of so my guess is Adams would say need a different player;
3. The three draft picks are decent but since the picks will be late in each round they do not qualify for what Adams is looking for so work has to be done on that aspect of the deal;
4. Tatar and Denault are both UFA with no chance to be signed by Buffalo;

So in final evaluation I do not see this trade as being any where close to GM Adams agreeing the offer for Captain Jack.

If the Canadians really want Captain Jack here is what I think GM. Adams would expect:

1. Kotkaniemi
2. Ylonen
3. Romanov
4. Josh Brook
5. Montreal 2021 1st Round Pick
6. Montreal 2022 1st Round Pick

Can't see them dealing Eichel to the Habs.

I totally agree with you as I think the Habs & Sabres do not mesh for an Eichel trade.
