Beauvillier is only 24, Pelech is only 26. We're talking about giving cizikas + palmieri 5-6years, but Pelech and Beauvillier are top of the lineup players who are still improving. it's not a big risk IMO.

I'd do both those. juggle some other stuff but would be nice to have locked in

I dont think Palmeri or Cizikas should get that much. 2,3,4 years max. I dont rlly even want palms but I think you should give Pelech 6 or 7, and Beauvillier like 6.

yeah the isles need to get their younger players locked up long term. Lou cannot do what he did with Pulock last year and walk these guys to UFA.

I'd agree with you if Pelech was strictly a shutdown defenseman, but he was actually the main offensive driver of the top pair. I'm down with anything in the 5-6 mill range.

Isles locking in not only young talent, but players that are a part of their core now, is the smartest thing they could possibly do. 100% agreed.

Neither Komarov nor Bellows are waivers exempt and would risk losing two players.
Bellows is not a very good centre, he scores more than twice as many goals as he has assist and has a horrible +/-.

I want better players that fit our needs better in order to give up cap space. The 3rd round pick offered has between 10-15% chance of becoming a NHL player.

Paying a 3rd rounder and Bellows to get rid of Komorov who is on an expiring contract that is easily bought out, would be Milburyesque.
