Way too high risk of a contract for the Canucks right now. I’m sure some team out there would be willing but Vancouver giving up 3 good futures to bring in some one older than the rest of their core? They already have aging high cap players in Schmidt and Myers. Don’t need another one

Fair POV. From an outsider's perspective I don't agree. Kane is 30 by the time next season starts, that contract can age badly, quickly. Plus he is so volatile that I barely think he is worth 7mil when he is firing on all cylinders. If Kane were making 5ish mil and only had a couple more years left on the deal then I think you get a 1st+

Yeah just watching him last year he was the best player on the ice for the sharks most of the season. If he ended up actually being traded to van which who knows how likely that is and was out with a center like Peterson who knows how good kane could play
