Ok, I didn’t think Pinto was Physical enough and the way this roster is constructed that 4C should be a PK player too.
I agree this would be a dream get for Eichel.
I just don’t see Stuetzle being that top #1 Center that Eichel is. A 80 plus point a season player.
And IMO, if they make this trade, rebuild over. This roster with Eichel, a legit #1 Center, is ready to compete.
Like I said he was defensive player of the year. Played a ton of PK in college and started to get a taste in Ottawa too. Consistently had takeaways as well. He's a big body as well at 6'3 195lbs and I wouldnt say he wasnt physical. He's more than qualified for the 4C and im sure he'll play higher up the lineup next year.
I do agree with the title of the post, this might be the best offer Buffalo gets but that's also why I dont think Ottawa offers it. Giving up Stuetzle and Pinto leaves holes that I think pushes them back as much as Eichel (coming off of surgery) might push them forward. Stuetzle might not be a 80+ point center but he should at the very least be a 60+ point winger.
I wouldn't touch EIchel if Stuetzle needs to be part of the package, much like the Kings wouldnt touch him if Byfield needs to be part of the package or even Anaheim and Zegras. But I am very curious to see who gets him and what the cost is.
