Yeah, there are rumors that NJ is interested in Ristolainen, I think it's not really a good idea for them, they to trade for some established players, but they don't need him, they already have Subban and Severson on the right side So they don't need to trade prospects and picks to get ristolainen.

They especially don’t need another offensive defenseman on the right side. They need someone that can play on the top pair or a right handed prospect that they can groom to eventually get to that point. Risto is neither of those and doesn’t fix any problems

NJ is supposedly leaving Subban available for Seattle in hopes they will take him off their hands. They may even coax the Kraken with another asset for them to do so.
