I think the trade for Reinhart isn't awful but it's a lot of mediocrity around a 1st... I think Buffalo will more look for a 1st and a quality prospect.

I just don't see Rob Blake as a guy who's interested in expensive rentals. Cheap rentals (like for fourth-round picks or B prospects), maybe, but not Seth Jones or Morgan Rielly or Sam Reinhart, unless the asking price is much, much lower.

For one year of Jenner and no salary retention, I'll pass.

I like Jenner and think he could be a very popular name around the trade deadline, but I don't see it for NSH. Things can change, but I'll pass right now.

I was talking with another Columbus fan earlier today. I have a hard time seeing the Kings being willing to risk trading away any of Byfield, Turcotte, or Vilardi for what could only be one year of Jones.

I probably should have put a condition on the trade that Jones extends. IMO, LA is a place Jones would sign long term, in fact any large U.S. market for that matter. He's looking for the bright lights and to be marketed. He's got the one national commercial, but really nothing locally. I think that is part of the Jackets franchise problems. They don't market their players properly and don't give them a chance to expand their reach and future income.

I agree that there's probably a deal to be made there. I wouldn't be shocked if Buffalo and Columbus make a deal this offseason. I don't think it will be Eichel, but it could be Reinhart. This roster I put together was more of a guess and having some fun.
