How is Columbus taking this trade?

By saying the words, "we accept this trade."

Right, because Columbus would just love to give up Jenner, Savard AND Rychel for a big pile of dog poop. Savard and Jenner are good young guys with lots of upside. Rychel has a lot of potential. What is Columbus getting back in return that makes them want to do this???? Bennett????? Erixon and Wilson are nothing special, and Lovejoy is a bottom pairing defenseman. This is about as lopsided of a trade that I have seen.

Clearly ur a Jackets fan. A bunch of young guys who don't have much experience being swapped. Don't act like Savard, Jenner, and Rychel r franchise players. They have shown potential, but it's not like they have been in the league for 10 yrs a piece and r tearing it up. You can drop Erixon and Connauton cause they aren't necessary in the deal, but the rest is good. Savard is younger than Lovejoy and that's where the 3rd rounder comes in to compensate.

If you were to trade Bennett and Lovejoy for Jenner and Savard it would be kind of close but still not a deal CBJ would have any reason to take. But then you add Rychel for Wilson and a 3rd and it becomes ridiculous.

What you fail to realize is that youth and potential are HUGE driving factors in trade value. Guess that have been in the league for years and are tearing it up like Kessel or Sharp often have their value lowered by things like salary, age, etc.

You're arguing against yourself with this statement. Columbus would laugh off this trade offer. Bennet, Lovejoy, and the third MAY get you Savard and Jenner, but that's as far as you are getting with this one.
