Maybe because he plays wing and centre which is valuable in this league. This trade came of a Canucks fan Armchair GM lol. Your fanbase values him at a 2nd.

Lmao Ericksen is going to retire first off
And Kyle Dubas is as good as you think lmao. Is he going to trade another 1st round pick for a veteran that's a free agent at the end of season.
Trade a 3rd for a goalie that only plays 3 games?

Centers that can play wing is not a selling point. Most centers can .

It doesn't matter if there have been 15 quotes from ACGMs (and their has been) , it doesn't make it less wrong.

Didn’t JB trade for Toffoli for like 10 games and let him walk. He kinda scored 28 goals and 9 came against the Nucks.

Furthermore Folingo got injured lmao how you gonna blame KB for an injury.

Also at the time Anderson was injured. We brought in Rittich as insurance so we don’t have to go to Hutchinson.

Quit being toxic by saying trading is trash and be insightful and give feedback. No wonder why y’all riot after game 7. Just a bunch of babies who couldn’t take it on the chin.

Really that one has no quotes. Furthermore GMs pay a higher price for players who preforms in the playoffs.

      Kerfoot 6points in 7 games.

GMs pay more for players who can PK, GMs pay more for players who can play the PP. Explain how you evaluate Kerfoot game?

Well book it in then but don't be surprised when Canucks announce who their second round pick is.

And again it was 1 post. So all Leaf fans agree on everything. After the Leafs lost to the Habs, Marner was either horrible or he should never be traded.

Harping is was a post from a Canucks fan and now saying it is the whole fan base again is incorrect.

When did I say the fanbase was incorrect. I said I took it off a Cancucks fan Arm chair GM. Secondly everyone on here thinks they understand player values but they don’t. How often does a 2nd rounder become a hit. These are factors taken into the trade process. You are obtaining value you now, as it was made clear by JB press conference you want to contend next year, for a 2nd that’s projected to probably make an impact 3-4 years down the line. You’re getting an impact player right now.

It was one post yet instead giving feedback of hey I think a 3rd is better and more even and having a discussion you say “don’t trade us trash”.

Honestly Canucks, Red Wings and Hawks fans can’t have a discussion without being hurt off a trade offer.

Okay so the small group of you that quarrels with everyone on Armchair GM rather than give feedback. This why nobody likes making trades with the Canucks, Red Wings and Hawks. You think you know better rather than sharing valid opinions and coming to a consensus. If you are commenting on a trade that wasn’t even the biggest on this ArmChair GM. You’re at that point nitpicking as you gave up a 2nd in probably the weakest draft since 2012 for Alex Kerfoot.

Didn't Dubas fold and give John Tavares everything he wanted and overpaid him just because he was so desperate to sign a big name free agent after sticking out on stamkos. Stamkos is 8.5 mill AAV while Tavares is 11 mill AAV. Stamkos is a superstar while Tavares is just an allstar.
He also folded while signing Marner. Not worth 11 mill AAV

So now I am a small group who quarrels with everyone. Nice.

1st I only pointed out your comment that a certain teams fanbase, as a generalization on your part, would give up a 2nd for a 3rd line center who, in my opinion is not worthy of the pick.

Here let me explain, Canucks have cap issues, they need to sign two RFA in Highes and Petersson and they have at least two contracts that are dragging down their cap. Unless they find a way to jettison those contracts they are in not trading for a 3rd line center who makes over 3 million. Simple math. Also, you say a small group, will I would include yourself with all the resigning of Ericksson, that you posted..

So a Canucks fan who doesn’t keep up with the latest news nice. Petterson deal is pretty much done. Elliot Friedman came out as and said it’s a 3 yr deal and AAV is unkown. Secondly the can use a buyout on Erickson as one year left on the deal a buyout is only 2yrs. Furthermore Ferland is on LTIR.

Funny enough another 3 arm chair GMs did the same exact trade Kerfoot evidently agreeing that he’s worth a 2nd.

Yea your team has cap issues but it’s able to be worked around. Furthermore he’s a winger that can play centre. You have 14 million before expansion and retroactively putting ferland on LTIR. Plus due to Virtanens age a buyout of his contract counts for less as he hasn’t played a certain amount of years in the NHL level. It’s way to work around your cap but it shows you lack of knowledge of the cap and CBA.

Quit being toxic on a thread and grow up.

Lmao do you know that taxes are lower in Florida hence why they actual make their 8.5 million. Dubas was even the highest bidder for Tavares…

Calling JT an all star is kinda funny you didn’t realize how bad he carried that NYI when he was there didn’t think Stamkos did when he was with TBL.

Hey man atleast we didn’t sign our bottom 6 to all those contracts. See unlike Beagle, Erickson, Roussel and Myers, our players have value your unfortunately doesn’t.
