Pens get Seattle to take B.Tanev in the expansion draft. In order to do so they give them Casey DeSmith, Blueger’s rights and ZAR’s rights.

Seattle gives The Pens back Adin Hill’s rights, who they draft from Arizona.

Seattle gets a 3rd line of ZAR/Blueger/Tanev. And a very capable and cheap NHL back-up in C.DeSmith(to most likely go along with Anton Khudobin and Jake Allen at goalie).

All 4(Blueger, ZAR, Tanev and DeSmith) are also good assets for them and are tradable to a contender if they choose at the TD.

Pens sign Z.Hyman, L.Schenn and have their jumbo 4th line of Zohorna(6’6, 230),Gaudreau(6’0, 190) and Angello(6’5, 220). Or OConnor(6’3, 210) can play LW instead of Zohorna. Or maybe even S.Poulin(6’2, 215).

Instead of having the most expensive 4th line in the NHL. The Pens now have the best 3rd line in the NHL (Zucker/Carter/Hyman).

And a very capable and much bigger 4th line.

And get to keep their defensive pairings together and another year of building chemistry(just replacing C.Ceci with L.Schenn). And keep their defensive depth with Rikkola/Ruhwedel, and PO-Joseph/Friedman
