I’m not surprised. Only thing is do people really wanna live in Russia? They money they pay isn’t that great, the economy is getting worse, some areas are getting more and more corrupt. I wouldn’t be surprised though. I feel like he still has enough talent to receive a 3-5 year contract ranging $4.5-6.5M. I think KHL at the most will offer him half that amount. But who knows! It’ll be a interesting free agent. I know it would never happen but if somehow Ovi came to LA and Hamilton, and kings trade for Laine only it would be incredible. But I know that would NEVER happen. Ovi and Hami will for sure resign.

Why do you think that? Just curious haha? I know is overall game isn’t that great but the guy still has speed and a good shot. I think he would fit great would the Kings. He will fit so well with Kopitar. I just feel like his game will drop over the next years so I wouldn’t want to see anything more than 3 years. Unless it’s like a $3.5M per season deal.

I understand the logic but you say you know laine doesn’t want to stay in Columbus which is a guess at this point which contradicts his past comments. So you completely low ball us? How does that work. Well trade Jones for futures and trade laine if and when we have to. We’re getting market value for both players. Not a very mediocre underpay.

Historically, one-dimensional players don't do well on the Kings. The Kings play a defense-first system, and Hoffman won't be a good fit. If he really wants to come to LA, I'd offer him $3M, otherwise he can play elsewhere.
