I'm not sure I even want Eichel, but both fan bases dont understand value. Buffalo isn't getting Laf + Kakko + 3 1st round picks or something absurd like that. just like the Rangers arent getting him for Chytil, Strome and a 1st round pick or something ridiculous like that.

Hertl would fit that criteria, I would make that move. In an ideal world it would be Bo Horvat but he's 99.9% no available. We just need to pick a route and say ok, Panarin and Kreider are locked up long term and aging, we have Laf, Kakko, Fox. Lets sell some of the other youth we have for players 25-28 years old with skill and some edge and actually build a team thats deep and versatile.

Let me start by saying I'm not accusing Eichel of being disgruntled (officially he has not said he wants out of Buffalo) . If the speculation is true, Eichel is a Sabers franchise captain, the Sabers organization did their best to surround him with talent but captain Eich can't seem to get it together and now wants to jump ship.....He also just had some serious surgery. What makes us Rangers fans think he will be any different on Broadway? I'll pass and maybe look at older experienced centers to mentor the young ones ... Giroux, Bergeron, (22/23) Krecji (21/22) who will be discount free agents soon!
