No way tampa do that trade. The defensive core of Tampa doesnt need a guy like Klefbom, and no way there giving away Killorn for that guy. Doesnt clean up cap space lik Tampa want, and Klefbom is not in the need of the team

I also have the thought of Kand and Killorn on this team. My opinion Kane is not worth it unless he plays sooo good with mcd. Too much cap. As you see the team had completely flipped to needing help on d. I think you stay course making McD and Leon carry the load until you can find an better forward mix. But this does open up bringing up young guns on d but you ain’t winning a cup with 1 to no years of exp as a d man. Keep this rank d for as long as possible and see where they can take you until your young d is ready ready. An year or two u can kinda squeeze them in. But honestly I do like this forward group. Something tells me need to get Killorn

I Think the goal here is Klefboom would not be cleared to play. hence be on LTIR which is 9Mill in savings for Tampa at the end of the day. thats pretty good at addressing that cap issue. Might need to add a 3-4 round thats it.

I think they will go for someone on Tampa. I dont like the Kane add even if he lights it up with mcdavid it leaves holes on defense like you said. but he is also a train wreck off the ice. trade for a player like killorn. use the 7 million from kane and lower priced winger and LD depth.

he is deciding this summer if he will ever play again. if no he will "retire" LTIR for length on contract.

this is 100% the idea. tampa gets about 9mil of cap off the books and if klefbom does get healthy they can trade him to another team for picks or prospects that are cheap.

the rangers are looking to get bigger and more physical, gauthier is a player that has not worked out well in their system.

jujhar is big, physical, great on the pk, and is not afraid to drop the gloves. On the fourth line he is great.

lol I appreciate you trying to speculate from the outside. Gauthier is a significantly better player who has worked just fine. The only issue with all of our young players has been David Quinn. And Quinn's gone....
