I would rather the Habs be guaranteed to not win a cup with him in the lineup then to add Hanzal at that price. The max I'd do is one 1st round pick and that is if Bergy wants to go all in this year. Otherwise go with what we got and hope for the best.

a 2nd & Desharnais is more than enough for Hanzal, that's basically the value Habs GM gave up in the Petry and Vanek deals, & Petry and Vanek are worth more than Hanzal

Can't wait to see what you think of when some team actually pays the true market value for him. I guarantee it won't be no DD and a 2nd.

John Chaykra doesn't have any experience as a GM and it shows, i wouldn't give up McCarron or even a first for Hanzal. The guy isn't gonna make any friends around the league by lowballing other GMs. He's worth a second and a prospect at best

Hopefully that is where they end up in the end. Hudon + 2nd... and they take Desharnais as a cap dump. I'll go as high as Scherbak+2017 1st+Desharnais if they give us a conditional 2nd (in case of injury).

Many Habs fans won't totally agree but McCarron and Sergachev are untouchable, in my opinion.
