From Winnipeg's perspective, I'm confused by the rational to trade Connor, a mid first round pick, for what will likely be a slightly later first round pick this year, plus a goalie who's going to be a UFA at the end of the season. Hard to imagine Bernier and his .905 save percentage being much of an upgrade on anything you've already got.
From Anaheim's perspective, I'm confused by throwing their first round pick into a deal for an unproven LW. If they were to move it (And I can't really see it, just because they're an internal budget team, and have had a first round pick for as long as I can remember), I'd imagine it would be in a deal (+++) for someone who's already a proven top line winger.
