    Different ideas!

Not sure why its Dermott and a 6th in expansion (is that to protect Holl and Kerfoot?) I think what we've seen this year, has diminished Dermott's value. Benched in favour of rookie Sandin and both looked a bit lost in playoffs. Dermott is not a crease clearer, nor a puck rusher. His value might be at a career low. IMO that makes adding a 6th to Seattle taking him crazy, as Seattle would rather have Holl or Kerfoot and demand a 3rd at least.

Is the difference bettween gurianov and marner as great as the difference between klingberg and holl? Not sure, but don't think DAL does that, especially given tat they have too many HUGE contracts at the moment to add another. I think you'd have to have one of their big contracts back in Benn or Radulov for them to do it...

Three pretty meh youngsters and a 3rd for Rackell? No chance. SDA could be good, but hes not a league high prospect, hes probably upper mid-level prospect. Brooks and Anderson are dime a dozen, AHL/NHL tweener types who might fill a role in bottom 6 momentarily but neither look like quality NHLers and the 3rd is 2 years away. Its more of quantity of quality. I would think TOR would have to add Amirov or Liljegren at the least and a better pick to get closer.

Engvall for a late 4th? Not sure he'd even make CAR NHL roster. Hes not young, hes had ample NHL looks and is average at best, just not sure his value is a 4th and not sure CAR has any need for him. 27 pts in 90 games, 26 yrs old and not lge minimum? I just don;t think it has much value

Stars are too shallow at RD & have too many large contracts (and large upcoming contracts) for a Marner trade to work.

Unless Toronto settles for Lindell & takes significant cap back, Dallas really couldn’t be a suitor for Marner, if the Leafs decided to move him.
