I agree that this isn't an ideal trade for the avs but landeskog isn't playing nearly up to his draft potential and Ryan when healthy is a better player. It's more of a change of scenery for both players.

Yes but the cap is going to hurt Edmonton. Brassard is affordable for edmonton. Drai is going to be too expensive for Edmonton to keep. Nurse is injured and the oilers need an offensive right shot d man for the power play, wideman fits that bill. The other two defenseman are affordable depth guys they need.

Why don't you let EDM deal with their cap situation rather dealing with it from a OTT perspective? Its one thing to make a bad trade and just LOL afterwards, its another to foolishly try to convince someone their trade makes sense after clearly not understanding the dynamics of trading value.
