I dont know if these trades are enough

Great so now our faceoffs % just went bad to worst.

the more i discuss Kuzy trades the more i realize the Capitals should keep him. His biggest flaw this year was getting COVID.... something 33.2m people got in the USA this year. guy can stack points and drastically improved his defensive game this year. finished the year when he was actually healthy and in game shape with 16p in 20games (66p/82g season) last year he was on pace for 68p/82gp.... adding 1st round picks and average players dont help the Capitals win a cup. Kuzy was the catalyst of them winning the cup and trading a guy like him would likely be a mistake. they should improve the D by letting the young guys play and find Carlson a legit 1LD that can play elite stay at home D....

Why would Dallas give up an affordable NHL middle six player for a career AHL player?

Not to mention selling Kuznetsov at probably his lowest value is just bad asset management. You're not going to be getting equal value for him, so the best thing the Caps can do is hope he can turn it around.

idk why his value would be so low... he had COVID lol. people are mad he had "a down year" but hes also quoted to have been happy to be alive after getting COVID and also had to site out 15day 2x which is a long time when you cant even skate. Ill gladly keep him. honestly i would move Carlson if i had to move a player

It's more about perception. There's this view that Kuznetsov is a perennial underachiever (which isn't true) and an off-ice problem (which wasn't true until the cocaine stuff came out last year).

Even the cocaine stuff wasnt a big deal among the hockey community. i think it was a big deal bc it made it to the media. i had a guy say Kuzy was blowing coke on video.... lol i dont think 90% of the general fans actually know whathappened. he fail a drug test for international play.... he was ina video (he didntknow he was in) with lines of white powder but he" wasnt doing it"

Yeah, I think people don't realize just how many players use coke and other drugs. I meant more of the optics of that situation doesn't help.
