This is not the same arms the Thornton trade.
We stole Thornton for pieces we no longer needed.
This is destroying our draft capital 3 of our better young pieces and two of our top 6 for 1 guy. Learn from
The Karlsson trade. To much for one piece is almost never positive for the team picking up the 1 piece.

There is value here but lets be honest the value is Labanc, Meier, 2021 1st round pick (SJS), 2022 1st round pick (SJS)- The rest are more for our AHL team or our bottom six logjam - It's not a bad trade if the sabers plan to tank for 2022 (lot of talent in the top 3). I think I'll look at it from the Buffalo side.

Two near ppg ahlers, a college standout who's underutilized, a guy whos already won BIG 10 rookie of the year, a middle six forward, a top six forward, multiple firsts, and other picks.

Hertl/ Couture is a good 1-2 combination on most teams, that’s not our issue our issue is the need of more entry level pieces and 1-2 more top 6 wingers to push everyone else down a notch and set us up with solid depth
That and out goaltending is attrocious
