Honestly we will never win its Mika and strome as out 1-2. Eichel is the only available 1C and our center prospects are terrible so I threw that out there

i think if you get Eichel without giving up Mika it's a win win. You gotta have great center depth to win cups, Mika or not

Face offs don’t play a huge role in team success. Some of the worst centers In the league are amazing at F/O.

It's funny because that's the exact reason that the Sens traded him to the Rangers in the first place. Guess some things don't change.

If Eichel is for sale...of course NYR have to get involved there...but if BUFF does manage to generate a bidding war then bail out- LaF, Fox, Kakko, and Chytil are all nonstarters. I'm OK with not getting Eichel if one or a few of these guys is what it takes.

As far as Mika...tough game tonite- but ultimately what happens with him will be determined by who can (and needs to ) be moved for pieces to be part of an Eichel trade- again...if he's even on the market. There will surely be a handful of teams that will be real interested in him after they fall short in this year's Cup pursuit. Even if they don't land Eichel..the next factor which will affect what NYR do with him is his ask in his next contract.

In the end, I'm OK if they keep (and extend ) Zibs...but also OK if they move him for a good package which either returns a future 1 or 2C or returns pieces which can be moved (to LA??) for a real good C prospect. I'm fine with keeping this team intact....ITS DQ THAT HAS TO GO

This is an interesting idea for the kings. I just don’t see him fitting the timeline with his age.

The poster was ragging on MIka not winning faceoffs tonight and suggested Eichel would be better at it.....hence the stats I quoted. You actually have to READ before you post.

Don't think Mika himself is a fit with LA...but the pieces coming back (upon trading to a 3rd party)- along with the bunch of real good NYR D prospects- there might be plenty for LA to pick from if they're willing to deal one of their promising C prospects.
